Sharing the 2025 “The State of Bipartisanship” report produced by Majority in the Middle. This report is designed to analyze bipartisan bill authorship as one important reflection of effective collaboration.
The effort identifies where cooperation happens, elevating those who are leading the way. The report also aims to collect replicable ideas to cultivate a healthier political environment -- in St. Paul and in state capitols across the country.
What is a School Referendum?
A school referendum is a ballot measure that allows voters in a school district to approve or reject funding proposals for their local public schools. The most common requests include increasing property taxes for operational costs or authorizing bonds for construction projects.
Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) complete list of school districts in the state that will ask voters for additional taxpayer funding through ballot referendums this November. Book Reporter Review: Louise Erdrich is one of those authors whose novels --- whether for children or adults --- are always reliably rewarding yet somehow still surprising every time. Her latest is no different. Some of the elements of her prior books, especially her most recent work, that have stuck with me months or even years later are those that address the environment, the climate and the land. So I was pleased to discover that, although THE MIGHTY RED is in many ways a deeply intimate story about the intertwined lives of individuals and families, it also has geography at its center.
